Sanitation & Recycling

The Village of Dorchester contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection. Everyone within the community is required to have garbage collection, which is picked up on Wednesdays.

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. You must call Waste Connections and notify them of this first. Please note, there may be an extra fee. If assistance is needed or you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. 

Items that will NOT be picked up or allowed in trash containers are: wet paint, motor oil, car batteries, tires, fluorescent bulbs or major appliances.  

For questions specific to trash pick up, please call the Village office directly. We will direct you to Waste Connections if need be.

OUR "SPRING/SUMMER" DUMP SITE DAYS/HOURS ARE:
MONDAY & WEDNESDAY 3-7 PM
SATURDAY 9 AM - 5 PM

OUR "FALL/WINTER" DUMP SITE DAYS/HOURS ARE:
MONDAY & WEDNESDAY 2-6 PM
SATURDAY 9 AM - 5 PM

*The only thing allowed is grass clippings, tree branches, leaves and compost.

We try to have two clean up times during the year (Spring & Fall) to allow residents to dispose of other items. Watch for times, schedules and items that can be dropped off at these times.
